The Discipleship Team is organized for the purpose of providing initial information that is essential to the spiritual development of new converts. The team shall be responsible to provide counsel at the altar or place of decision as well as a continued program of development until the convert is baptized, received into church membership and actively deployed in a ministry of the church.
The discipleship team shall provide trained disciplers in each worship service of the church.
The discipleship team shall be responsible for the follow-up procedures necessary to provide counsel/guidance to all converts.
The discipleship team will avail themselves of current discipleship materials and methods and utilize them as necessary.
The discipleship team will attempt to provide age, gender, and race sensitivity in its discipler selection process.
All Discipleship Team members shall be
disciplers, however all disciplers do not necessarily need to be members of the Team.
