The Evangelism Team will be responsible for the evangelistic emphasis for the church. Evangelism is simply sharing the good news of the gospel with people who have not yet come to know Jesus Christ as their savior. This team is responsible for the development and continuation of a process that will keep an evangelistic emphasis before the church membership and more importantly, our community at all times.
The thrust of this team will be more on teaching evangelism as a Christian lifestyle and as a natural part of the Christian life experience than as an event orient opportunity to reach the masses. While both of these mediums of participation may be utilized, the major emphasis should be on “lifestyle evangelism”. Sharing our faith should be a natural part of our everyday experiences. This team will be responsible for bringing this purpose about by:
Providing training events to assist members in sharing their faith
Providing witnessing tools for members to utilize.
Providing special emphasis periods with emphasis on saturation evangelism.
Providing special events designed to evangelize.
The members of this team should be leaders in example by sharing their faith, witnessing and providing an enthusiasm for evangelism within the congregation.
